Comparison of purchasing 100 economics textbooks.
Major Publishers' Price: $90.00 per textbook, 10% shipping and handling.
100 x $90.00 = $9,000.00 x 10% = $900 + $9,000 = $9,900.00
High School Economics Price: $2,500 license* and $5.90 to print per book
100 x $5.90 = $590.00 + $2,500.00 = $3,090.00
You can buy the license for High School Economics and print it for 7 years with NEW UPDATED VERSIONS EVERY YEAR for the cost of buying a traditional economics textbook, which won't change for those 7 years. Think about how quickly your economics textbook becomes a "history book!" Two years ago not a single economics textbook had any information about the "sub-prime mortgage crisis," except our textbook! We have had a section on the crisis for two years now, this year we have up-to-date information and policy changes to deal with the "Great Recession."
Other Advantages of the digital High School Economics textbook:
You receive a NEW UPDATED DIGITAL EDITION NEXT YEAR FREE!
It currently only costs $250 to buy the license for each additional years UPDATE after the first free update.
All the study guides, worksheets, quizzes, tests and other ancillary materials are written by the author and correspond directly to each chapter.
There is a complete semester lesson plan using the Teaching High School Economics package included with the purchase of the package. This packet includes lesson plans for teaching the eight units including suggested videos, simulations (projects) and other activities.
The textbook is tied to the Michigan Social Studies Content Expectations and the National Assessment Educational Progress (NAEP) Content Expectations.
PowerPoints for each chapter are included in the package and are GRAPHICS INTENSIVE - not just bulleted outlines of the chapters.
The package has a version of PowerPoints that is integrated with CPS clickers.
The author will customize textbook for your local state, county and school district.
*high school with 800-1,500 students, schools with smaller enrollments may buy the license for less and still have huge savings. Larger districts may take advantage of the economy of scale and SAVE EVEN MORE! See our cost for purchasing the printed copy above. Compare that total price to buying the same number of copies of a traditional economics book from a major publisher, approximately $90+ today. Don't forget to add the shipping and handling that the major publishers charge as well. Regardless of your high school's enrollment we guarantee the total cost of our PACKAGE is less than half as much as theirs, and in most cases 10-25% of the cost of buying a traditional textbook.
